Description

This service is available to any person of legal age in his/her country to subscribe to an online-service. Accepting those terms is mandatory for registering an account.

This service's goal is to allow to upload pictures of the same places over the years. Each registered user will be able to create new places, modifiy existing places, and add pictures to that place.

Right over the pictures

The users certify that they have full rights over the pictures they are uploading.

The users accept to grant PlacesAndPeople.net the right to display a reduced version of the photo they upload to the website, and to keep the original file for archiving purposes.

When uploading a picture, several licensing options can be chosen in order to allow redistribution would a third-party be willing to buy the right of the picture. Naturally, PlacesAndPeople allow the author to keep all rights on the original image.
Once a license has been chosen for a picture, the author will not be able to change it to a more restrictive one.

Moderation

When a picture gets uploaded, it first needs to be moderated. Any offensive, sexually explicit, shocking, racist, or illegal in the country where the PlacesAndPeople.net servers are hosted will be deleted.

After a period, user may get the "auto approved" status, which allow them to upload pictures that do not need to be approved. Any unsuitable picture as described above will still be delete by a PlacesAndPeople.net administrator.

Experimental service

Although PlacesAndPeople is designed as professionally as it can be, there could still be errors and data loss during its launching phase. Users will be notified of any malfunction, and or encouraged to report them.

Privacy

PlacesAndPeople.net value user privacy and will do anything to protect it.

As a consequence, no private data including Name, Address and e-mail address will be sold or given to a third party.

Users may delete their account at any time.

In that case, their data, including Name, Address and e-mail will remain archived as authorized by the law, and will not be used for any commercial e-mail contact, nor sold or given to a third party.
